Vision
To provide students with a firm foundation of both the theory and competence-based Technical Education and Training with a focus to produce the highly competent Electrical Technicians for industrial needs, recognized as innovative leaders, professionally responsible and ethical citizens
Mission
- To enable students to develop high technical competence, positive attitude and ethical values to solve well-defined technical problems in the electrical engineering field.
- To provide analytical and logical thinking, multidisciplinary problem-solving skills, effective communication and leadership skills required to excel in the electrical field.
- To collaborate with industry and academia by framing curricula and syllabi based on industrial and societal needs to fulfil the industrial demands as the qualified technicians.
- To foster a passion for professionalism and lifelong learning, complying safety and environmental regulations and promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
Programme Educational Objectives
The Department of Electrical Power Engineering has established the following objectives:
PEO-1. Produce engineering technicians who competently apply the fundamentals and principles of science, engineering, and mathematics to solve well-defined technical problems and multidisciplinary projects related to electrical systems.
PEO-2. Nurture engineering technicians who are able to work as a team with a sense of effective communication, entrepreneurship and leadership qualities.
PEO-3. Foster development of engineering technicians who prioritise professionalism and ethical values, complying safety and environmental regulations and are dedicated to the personal holistic development and life-long learning.
Course Structure
The EP Course is mainly constructed with Electrical Generation, Transmission and Distribution such as electrical safety & protection, solar energy installation, electrical wiring design and illumination, electrical estimating, machines maintenance, industrial machines control & PLC control.
Each Student will have to know basic electrical knowledge in A.G.T.I Year I .They will get the usage of electrical hand tools , electrical components , knowledge of electrical safety, constructing of electric circuit and have to do a project. In Year III, the students could be learnt in advance for Year II resources and also they must to go Industrial Training (three months) to get the A.G.T.I Diploma.

Practical, Job Examinations, Semester Examinations, Projects and Industrial Field / Training.

- 81-100 – Grade “A”
- 61-80 – Grade “B”
- 41-60 – Grade “C”
- 21-40 – Grade “D”
- 0-20 – Grade “E”
Career Prospective after Graduate
After getting A.G.T.I (EP) Diploma, they can join as Electrician in the EP job fields.
