The department of Information Technology was established at the Government Technical Institute (Insein) in 2018. The IT department opens regular AGTI courses and short term training courses. In IT Department ,there are five faculties for teaching and learning .There are 39 students who are attending in Year I- IT and short term training batch 1,2,3 are already completed.The IT department provides a well-rounded education like IT competency (skill, knowledge and altitudes) through innovative methods to meet the needs of our students. For IT students, IT department has three classrooms for lecture time with the active learning environment and two computer laboratories including networking demonstration and facilities in order to provide more practices. Moreover, facilities are supported that offers students can more learning opportunities for skills that the industry needed and leads to improve their media and ICT competency.
