Electrical Power Engineering Department

The department of Electrical Power was established at the Government Technical Institute (Insein) in 2017. The EP department opens regular AGTI courses and short term training courses. In EP Department ,there are
eleven faculties for teaching and learning .There are 40 students who are attending in Year I- EP and short term training batch 1,2,3,4,5 are already completed.
The EP department of G.T.I (Insein) provides a well-rounded education through creative and innovative methods to meet the needs of our students. the department has basic electrical and electronic lab room, electrical wiring booth for practice wiring skills, industrial machines control & PLC (SIEMENS) lab room for practice electrical control skills and renewable energy sources (Solar energy) infrastructure facilities that offers students a rare opportunity to improve their electrical skills and electrician competency.

DURATION OF DIPLOMA PROGRAMME

The duration of Diploma programme is three years (6 semesters). In addition to formal course, the department often opens Competency Based Modular Short Courses (CBMSC) trainings such as residential electrical wiring installation training, industrial machines control training, motor rewinding training and Logo 8 PLC training.
