World Youth Skills Day – Government Technical Colleges in Honor of WYSD; The Skills Competition and Innovation Award Competition of Government Industrial Science and Government Technical High Schools and Innovation Award Ceremony was held at 9 am today, 15.7.2019 at Government Industrial Science (Insein) Main Assembly Hall.

July 15 was declared the World Youth Day (WYSD) at the United Nations General Assembly in November 2014. The opening of the UNESCO-UNEVOC Center will be more conducive to technical and vocational education and training activities, and will be able to cooperate with other countries in the region that have a UNESCO-UNEVOC Center in accordance with the basic principles of the UNEVOC Network. Capacity building programs and experience sharing programs will be made.
Today, 1.2 billion people in the world are young people aged 15 to 24, accounting for 16% of the world’s population. The Skills Competition and Innovation Award Competition will be held from July 15 to 16 for two days. A total of 134 students from 9 government technical colleges and 4 government technical high schools participated in the Innovation Award competition with 104 students.
